Privacy Policy

This site is operated by Wire Industries Inc. as The Sports Broker (“we”, “us”, “our”), of 11270 Exposition Boulevard, Floor 2, #642029, Los Angeles, CA 90064.

We publish sports betting analysis. This policy covers the website, the tools on it, and the email we send.

It does not cover any sportsbook. A sportsbook is a separate company with its own privacy policy, and once you leave this site for one, their policy governs — see Affiliate links and clicks.

For readers in the UK or the European Economic Area, we are the controller of the personal data described here.

Information you give us

• Your email address, when you subscribe to the notes, follow a team, or request access.
• Your name and message, when you use the contact form.
• Your state or location preference, when you set one on a tool, so the prices and offers shown to you are the ones available where you are.
• Positions you explicitly confirm — the team, market and price of a bet you tell us you placed. We record this only when you confirm it yourself. We never infer a bet from a click, a follow or a visit.

Information collected automatically

• A visitor identifier. We set a first-party cookie (tsb_vid) holding a random identifier, so a follow, a saved state or a click can be recognised as coming from the same browser across visits. It is generated at random and is not derived from anything about you.
• Request data. IP address, the approximate US state derived from it, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. IP address is also used for rate limiting, which is a security measure.
• Click records. Which sportsbook links you follow and what price was on screen when you did — see section 4.
• Email engagement. Whether a message we sent was delivered, opened or had a link clicked, and whether it bounced or was reported as spam.

Information from others

• Sportsbook affiliate networks may report that a click we sent resulted in a registration or a deposit, so we can be paid. What they report varies by partner and is generally aggregate or pseudonymous — we do not receive your betting history, your balance or your account details, and we cannot request them.
• Email delivery providers report delivery outcomes and bounces.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your sportsbook credentials, account numbers, card or bank details, government identifiers, or precise geolocation. We do not run third-party advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site.

Every cookie this site sets is our own. There are no third-party advertising or analytics tags on these pages — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session-recording tool. That is a deliberate choice and it is why you are not asked to dismiss a consent banner to read an article.

What we do set:

• Strictly necessary — session and security cookies, and the rate limiting that protects our forms from abuse. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
• Functional — tsb_vid, your saved state, and your last archive view, so the site does not forget what you told it.
• Attribution — a record of which link brought you here and which sportsbook link you followed, so a partner can credit us for a referral.

Sportsbooks and their affiliate networks set their own cookies once you arrive on their site. We neither control nor read those.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking the functional ones will stop follows, saved states and preferences from working; the site will still be readable.

We are paid by sportsbooks. When you follow a sportsbook link from this site and open an account or place a bet, we may receive a commission. This is how the site is funded, and you should read everything here with that in mind. It costs you nothing and it does not change the price you are offered — the odds we display are the odds the book is publishing.

Every sportsbook link on this site passes through our own redirect before reaching the book. At that moment we record: which book, which page you came from, which team and market you were viewing, the price that was on screen, your approximate state, a timestamp, and your visitor identifier. If you arrived from one of our emails and are a subscriber, the click is associated with your subscriber record.

We record the on-screen price because prices move. It is the only way to establish later whether the number you acted on was the number we showed you, which matters when a reader tells us a figure was wrong.

A click is not a bet. Following a link tells us you left for a sportsbook. It does not tell us whether you bet, what you staked, or what happened, and we do not treat it as though it did.

• To run the site and its tools, and to show prices and offers available in your state.
• To send the notes and any other email you asked for.
• To tell you when a price on a team you follow moves.
• To be credited and paid for referrals to sportsbooks.
• To understand which analysis is read and which is not, so we write more of what works.
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam and fraud, and to keep the site up.
• To meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

For UK/EEA readers, our lawful bases are consent for marketing email, contract for delivering what you asked for, and legitimate interests for security, product analytics and affiliate attribution, each balanced against your rights.

We do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build advertising profiles. The model on this site forecasts sports outcomes. It does not profile readers.

We send marketing email only to people who gave us an address for that purpose. Submitting your address to subscribe is that consent, and we record when and where you gave it.

Following a team is not consent to be emailed. A follow is anonymous and local to your browser. Using the contact form is not consent either — that message goes to an inbox and nowhere else, and we do not add you to any list because you wrote to us.

Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing stops marketing email immediately. We may still send a transactional message where one is genuinely needed — a reply, a confirmation you asked for, or a security notice.

We keep a suppression list of addresses that have unsubscribed, bounced or complained. That list exists precisely so we do not contact you again, and it is retained for that reason. Asking us to delete your data will not remove you from it unless you ask specifically, because removing you would allow a future signup to reach you.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We disclose it to the following service providers, each under contract and each processing it only on our instructions:

• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Supabase — our database.
• Resend and Brevo — email delivery and delivery reporting.
• Sportsbook affiliate networks — when you follow a link, so the referral can be credited. See section 8.

We may also disclose it:

• To professional advisers — lawyers and accountants — where needed.
• To authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
• To a buyer, if the business is sold or merged, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, California law defines “sale” and “sharing” broadly, and our affiliate arrangements involve disclosing an identifier and click data to a sportsbook’s affiliate network in circumstances where we are paid a commission.

We take the cautious position: we treat that as a “sale” and “sharing” under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and we give you the right to opt out. We do not claim an exemption we have not established.

To opt out, use Your Privacy Choices, linked from the footer of every page. One click, no account, and we do not ask who you are. You can also send the request through the contact form.

Once you have opted out we stop attaching your visitor identifier to sportsbook clicks, stop recording which price was on screen when you left, and stop telling the sportsbook which page you came from. Sportsbook links keep working exactly as before — they simply stop carrying you with them.

The categories we may sell or share are internet and device activity (identifiers, click records, approximate state). We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 21.

You may also designate an authorised agent to make this request for you. We will ask for proof of the authorisation, and we may ask you to confirm it directly.

Opting out is free, and we will not degrade the site, charge you, or offer you a worse experience because you did.

• Subscriber records — for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, your address remains on the suppression list indefinitely so we do not contact you again.
• Contact messages — 36 months from the last message in the thread.
• Click and attribution records — 24 months, which covers affiliate reconciliation, partner audits and our own financial records.
• Confirmed positions — until you ask us to remove them, or 24 months after the season they relate to ends, whichever comes first.
• Server and security logs — 90 days.

Where we are required to keep something longer to meet a legal or tax obligation, or to defend a claim, we keep it for that period and no longer.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• Know what we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Correct it if it is wrong.
• Have it deleted.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.
• Take it elsewhere in a portable format.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — see section 8.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these.

To exercise any of them, use the contact form and choose “Privacy or account request”. We respond within 45 days under CCPA/CPRA — extendable once by a further 45 days where a request is complex, in which case we will tell you — and within one month under UK/EU GDPR.

We may need to verify who you are before acting, and we will ask only for what verification actually requires. If we cannot verify you, we will say so and explain why.

We honour Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal we treat it as a valid opt-out from the sale and sharing described in section 8, with no further action needed from you. You can see what we are currently doing, and set the choice explicitly so it holds even when that signal is off, on Your Privacy Choices.

You can also complain to a regulator: the California Privacy Protection Agency or your state Attorney General, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your EEA supervisory authority.

This site is for adults of legal betting age — 21 or older in most US states, 18 in a few. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you believe a minor has given us information, tell us through the contact form and we will delete it promptly.

We use encryption in transit, access controls on the database, and rate limiting on every endpoint that accepts input. Administrative access is restricted and authenticated.

We never ask for your sportsbook password, account number or payment details, and we have no ability to reach your betting account. If anyone claiming to be us asks for those, it is not us — tell us through the contact form.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of anything transmitted over the internet.

We operate from the United States and our service providers are US-based. If you use this site from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection law from your own country.

Where we transfer personal data out of the UK or EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and we assess whether additional safeguards are needed.

We update this policy when what we do changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.

Where a change materially affects your rights, we will say so more prominently than a date — by email to subscribers, or a notice on the site — and, where the law requires consent, we will ask for it before the change applies to you.

Privacy questions and requests — access, deletion, correction — go through the contact form under “Privacy or account request”. It reaches a person, not a queue. The sale and sharing opt-out in section 8 is faster on Your Privacy Choices.
